While the outside case was cleaned last time, the inside of the instrument was filthy. I called up my friend Scott, picked him up, and we then hauled the harpsichord from the garage to my apartment. I decided to do an autopsy and dismantle the harpsichord. I even open up the hood (soundboard), but after seeing the mess inside, I decide that, well, for being an old lady, she probably would not survive or need a major surgery anymore...just let her live out the rest of her life as decent as possible. I'm sure a lot of oncologists know the feeling. I close the soundboard up. I'll work on the cracks later when I have time.
